Part One of Three: Organizational Development
May 12-14, 2006 Portland, Oregon
First Evening: Friday, May 12 th
6:00 – 9:00 PM - Introductory dinner with project reports:
- Workshop participants describe setting, mission, goals and objectives of their projects
- Give a current status report on each projects
- Identify the major strengths and weaknesses of projects
- Outline the primary goals participants have for the workshop series
Second Day: Saturday, May 13 th
8:00 – 10:00 AM - The Road Ahead: Steps to Organizing a Cooperative
10:00 – 10:30 AM - Break
10:30 – Noon - Panel Discussion: Years From Now You’re Gonna Look Back and Laugh

- What are the key planning activities you plan to carry out in the next 3 months?
2:00 – 2:15 PM - Break
2:15 – 3:00 PM - Participant action plans
- During a full group session, participants will describe the key organizing steps they plan to implement with their groups back home during the next three months.
3:00 – 3:30 PM - Introduction to the Food Co-op 500 loan and grant program
3:30 – 4:00 PM - Conclusion of session: Next steps in the series, workshop evaluation
